Looking back: The 20th INFORMATICS SAPshots 2025
On October 16, 2025, we celebrated a special anniversary - the 20th edition of the INFORMATICS SAPshots. Under the motto "AI solutions in the context of SAP - when tradition meets innovation", this time the focus was on the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in the SAP environment.
Sebastian Sav (SAP) kicked things off with exciting insights into SAP's AI strategy and the AI co-pilot SAP Joule, which will also be available for on-premise customers in the future - a decisive step towards a hybrid future.
INFORMATICS Juniors Larissa Malzner and Daniel Buchberger continued with a practical approach, demonstrating how AI technologies can be integrated into existing on-premise SAP processes as part of an internal R&D project. Peter Altreiter, Managing Director of INFORMATICS Healthcare, then shed light on the use of AI in the healthcare sector - from process optimization to improved patient care. The program was supplemented by world cafés to discuss opportunities, risks and experiences with AI as well as an exciting presentation by Wojtek Dragon (Projekt29 GmbH & Co. KG) on the legal framework for AI applications.
The conclusion: AI opens up enormous potential - especially when technology, responsibility and human judgment go hand in hand.
