Wolfgang joined KEK in 1996 as a systems consultant and programmer. He quickly became involved in client projects in the areas of sales and logistics and has now been serving as managing director for five years.
Eva joined KEK in 2020 in a project management role and immediately had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic (working from home since day one). After initially focusing on organizational support, she has now, after just over a year, taken on the role of technical project manager for client projects.
- What has the “younger generation” learned from the “older generation,” and vice versa?
Eva: Just do it.
Wolfgang: I’ve learned to get excited about new tools and methods. - How does the collaboration work?
Wolfgang and Eva: Well, experience meets youthful boldness
Eva: Wolfgang gives me a lot of freedom, so I can experiment and think things through on my own. I’m often able to put my ideas and thoughts into practice. Wolfgang’s input is very helpful in that regard.
Wolfgang: Eva sometimes challenges me with theoretical questions. Questions that sometimes make me think about why things are the way they are, and I end up making gut decisions based on experience. I’ve learned to question things more. That youthful curiosity is contagious.
Wolfgang and Eva: We’re very glad to have each other. - What made “Alt” decide to join KEK and remain loyal to the company for so long?
Wolfgang: I spent four years living abroad and then wanted to return to Bavaria. On my second try at the job interview, things worked out with KEK. I was quickly able to work independently and take on responsibility, alongside great colleagues and supervisors. - What made you decide to join KEK, and what do you like about it?
Eva: I didn’t want to work for a large corporation and was interested in project management. When I got to talking with Wolfgang at the job fair, KEK just felt like the right fit. - What do we both like about KEK?
Wolfgang and Eva: We agree with Anne and Danuta: teamwork, a sense of belonging, autonomy, security, and trust are values that are important to us and to KEK. And we would add freedom to that list.
