With the i.s.h.med Model System in the Cloud

AIMING HIGH - INTO THE CLOUD TOGETHER WITH THE I.S.H.MED MODEL SYSTEM

In recent months, intensive work has been done on the further development of the i.s.h.med® Model System to pave the way to the SAP Cloud Platform (SCP). What does the path now look like for new customers, but also for users who use existing solutions and have adapted the system to their individual circumstances with their own developments?

Already at the last i.s.h.med User Day, the vision of what the next generation of the i.s.h.med Model System will look like became clear: a uniform, harmonious platform in the cloud with digital solutions covering outpatient as well as inpatient areas such as hospitals, day clinics, emergency rooms etc. 

WHAT IS THE MODEL SYSTEM?

The i.s.h.med Model System provides ready-made standard clinical HIS workflows and processes that guarantee ease of use regardless of location. This system drives hospital-wide electronic medical records for secure, end-to-end patient care. The roadmap from SAP ECC to SAP SCP clearly sets the visionary path.

The i.s.h.med Model System Starter Package (MSSP) is already available for new customers.

In order to provide existing customers with a smooth migration path to the SCP, the first agreements on how components of the solution can be used for ongoing optimisation and standardisation after the existing processes have been analysed can be made from the beginning of next year. Services from the SCP that fit seamlessly into the existing processes can then be successively integrated and used with the previous functions.

INFORMATICS ACCOMPANIED

The question for existing customers is now: Which existing solutions will remain and for which will one fall back on an i.s.h.med Model System reference solution in the future? A generally valid statement cannot be made here; each HIS implementation must be considered individually.

But as i.s.h.med experts, we know our customers' systems inside out and support you in making the right decisions. We plan to deal intensively with the i.s.h.med MSSP in order to be able to jointly define your individual migration path and long-term strategy into the SCP.
