Moving to the Cloud with the i.s.h.med Model System

HIGH UP – JOINING THE CLOUD TOGETHER WITH THE I.S.H.MED MODEL SYSTEM

Over the past few months, we have been working intensively on further developing the i.s.h.med® Model System to pave the way for the SAP Cloud Platform (SCP). What does the path ahead look like for new customers, as well as for users who are already using existing solutions and have customized the system to their specific needs with in-house developments?

At the last i.s.h.med User Day, the visionforthe next generation of thei.s.h.med Model Systemwas already clear: a unified, seamless cloud-based platform offering digital solutions that cover both outpatient and inpatient settings, such as hospitals, day clinics, emergency rooms, and more. 

WHAT IS THE MODEL SYSTEM?

The i.s.h.med Model System offers predefined standard clinical HIS workflows and processes that ensure ease of use regardless of location.This system drives the hospital-wide electronic health record to ensure secure, seamless patient care.The roadmap from SAP ECC to SAP SCP clearly outlines the vision for the future.

The i.s.h.med Model System Starter Package (MSSP) is already available to new customers.

To provide existing customers with a smooth migration path to the SCP, initial discussions can begin early next year on how components of the solution can be used for ongoing optimization and standardization following an analysis of existing processes. SCP services that integrate seamlessly into existing processes can then be gradually integrated and used alongside existing functions.

INFORMATICS SUPPORTS

The question for existing customers is now: Which existing solutions will remain in place, and for which ones will an i.s.h.med Model System reference solution be used in the future? It is not possible to make a blanket statement here; each HIS implementation must be considered on a case-by-case basis.
