Record time at the Vinzenz Group
LIKE THE FIRE BRIGADE
In the COVID 19 crisis, nothing was as it was before. Only the smooth cooperation on urgent assignments still functioned perfectly.
"In the morning, we received a call from our customer Vinzenz Group with an urgent COVID-19-related request. It was about creating a system at short notice that enables access restrictions in hospitals. By noon, the prototype was already ready",
knows Klaus Schwarzenberg, SAP i.s.h.med Senior Consultant.
The quick solution was to draw up lists of who was allowed into the hospital in the first place. "Only a person with an appointment was allowed to enter a hospital."
INFORMATICS used its knowledge of the customer's SAP i.s.h.med system and implemented a report in record time that limited the number of people within the hospital. i.s.h.med appointment management lists were used to identify the patients who had an appointment at the facility on the desired deadline and authorised them to enter the hospital to keep it. A distinction between outpatient and inpatient cases also ensured that inpatients could also make use of their appointments at the hospital.
SOLUTION IN A FEW HOURS
Due to the long cooperation and the good knowledge of the customer, it was possible to react quickly: "It was not a 'high-sophisticated' solution, but we knew exactly how to get it into the productive system as quickly as possible. We know the customer's SAP i.s.h.med system very well and have knowledge of special features. Therefore, we managed to have the solution on the system within a couple of hours."
