The project goal of the FAB ProWork business unit management was to obtain cost clarity across the eight plants in Upper Austria and to implement this centrally in SAP in a transparent and comprehensible manner. In addition, the service provision of the locations and the intercompany billing were to be clearly mapped.
Together with FAB ProWork, co-expert Sermet Karshon-Haider redefined relevant processes, replaced previously Excel-based processes with SAP standards and introduced product cost controlling in the SAP modules PP, SD and CO.
For this purpose, master data was reorganised, intermediate allocations were introduced and organisational units were redefined. In addition, the conditions in cost centre accounting, product cost and sales order planning, production controlling and profit centre accounting were adjusted.
After a project duration of 6 months, it is now possible to clearly settle the production orders between the locations. All settlements are mapped in the background, without any effort for the employees.
Strategy for 2022
The conversion to SAP S/4HANA is under discussion at FAB ProWork for 2022. The focus is currently on the preliminary projects. All preliminary work from this project can be taken over.
