On July 5, 2021, the moment had finally arrived: It was “Go live!” for the new SAP S/4HANA ERP system at DENK PHARMA GmbH & Co. KG, based in Munich.
With the introduction of a new ERP system, DENK PHARMA is preparing to continue the remarkable growth it has experienced over the past 10 years. Under the motto “Access to Healing,” DENK PHARMA provides patients in over 80 countries worldwide with access to medicines and dietary supplements of the same quality found in any German pharmacy.
To fulfill this mission as efficiently as possible, real-time information and detailed planning systems—such as those enabled by SAP S/4HANA—are absolutely critical.
“Our goal was to model our core processes across departmental boundaries and manage them using a powerful ERP solution,” explains Vivien Buss, Head of IT at DENK PHARMA. “With SAP S/4HANA, we were able to fully achieve this objective.”
DENK PHARMA was supported in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA by KEK Anwendungssysteme GmbH, a proven pharmaceutical specialist that managed the overall project, as well as by Innovabee GmbH, which specifically oversaw the areas of finance, analytics, and planning. Together, the three companies designed, developed, validated, and rolled out the new system into daily use over a period of three years.
