INFORMATICS goes OCI

Digital transformation is opening up new avenues for future-proofing existing systems. INFORMATICS is now pursuing this path with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and is gaining valuable initial insights.

With the new generation of i.s.h.med, which will be developed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) going forward, the focus is on innovative technologies. APEX, OCI’s low-code/no-code platform, plays a key role in this. Since market experience with APEX has been limited so far, INFORMATICS took the plunge and set up its own OCI tenant. This was connected to the i.s.h.med development system, resulting in the first application that communicates directly with i.s.h.med. The findings are promising: OCI has proven to be extremely powerful and offers extensive customization options.

Low-code makes it possible: a cross-platform APEX app

At the same time, APEX makes it relatively easy to build applications and flexibly extend them using traditional programming languages such as HTML and JavaScript. This opens up entirely new possibilities for implementing extensions. Our goal is clear: When you’re setting the course for your platform strategy—whether SAP BTP or OCI—talk to us. Together, we’ll find the right solution for your business.
