Last week, the entire INFORMATICS Group celebrated a very special milestone: the 40th anniversary of the former KEK—now INFORMATICS Life Sciences. As part of this year’s company outing, we all gathered in Bavaria. While our colleagues in Munich were essentially playing on their home turf, the rest of the team had to pack their bags and head to Munich!
Before moving on to the more relaxed part of the evening, we started off with an exciting guided tour of the Bavarian capital. Afterward, the entire team gathered at the historic Löwenbräu to toast four decades of success over an excellent meal.
An evening full of milestones and magical moments
An anniversary like this is the perfect occasion to look both back and forward. This was also reflected in the inspiring speeches given that evening. Our managing directors, Anne Hildinger and Wolfgang Weichselgärtner, looked back on the milestones in INFORMATICS Life Sciences’ history and thanked the entire team for their tireless dedication.
Things got particularly emotional when the owners took the floor: In addition to the forward-looking remarks by the new owner, Otto Kitzmüller, we also had the opportunity to listen to the words of the man with whom it all began 40 years ago—the company’s founder and former owner, Bernhard Erasmus.
Between courses and speeches, a magician left guests in awe and provided plenty to talk about at the tables. With his astonishing tricks, he added an extra touch of magic to an evening that was already dazzling.
Exploring Munich's Nightlife Together
After the official part of the event had come to a pleasant close at Löwenbräu, many were far from ready to go to sleep. A core group from the entire INFORMATICS team, full of energy, headed out to take Munich’s nightlife by storm and celebrate the anniversary in style well into the early morning hours.
Anyone who thought everyone would be exhausted the next day didn't count on the team: The next morning, we hit the road right away to explore the historic Olympic Park together and put the perfect finishing touch on our weekend getaway.
It was an all-around successful celebration that proved once again: Not only can we work together successfully across locations, but we can also throw legendary parties together.
