Twenty-five years ago, INFORMATICS gradually began to deal with all aspects of SAP, with each industry having its own special features. INFORMATICS Healthcare is no exception.
The story of INFORMATICS Healthcare began around 16 years ago, initially taking on small tasks in processes that were still paper-based. "After we acquired our first customer, the Vinzenz Group, we were able to steadily gain a foothold and then made the strategic decision: Healthcare will become the focus sector," Peter Altreiter recounts. The subsequent offensive marketing strategy was accompanied by a flyer that used both the Siemens brand - as their implementation partner for i.s.h.med - and the Siemens logo, which was placed prominently without consultation.
The Business Manager for Healthcare IT at Siemens at the time quickly recognized that there were people with great commitment at work here and placed the potential of a collaboration above possible negative consequences. This manager, Stefan Radatz, was to become the key figure in a successful and lasting partnership.
In a joint cooperation, the first electronic fever curves were introduced in i.s.h.med. A milestone that led to a brilliant growth spurt. New customers were added and the team grew continuously.
INFORMATICS Healthcare: Paving the way and shaping the future. The "healthcare IT specialists" became an important pillar of the company and, as sought-after experts, they wanted to help shape and reshape the future of healthcare. The logical next step was the founding of INFORMATICS Healthcare GmbH. With this new visibility to the outside world, KAGes was won as a customer and support for the digitalization of patient treatment began.
Digitization projects in the healthcare sector are not sprints, but marathons. The introduction of i.s.h.med Model System was tantamount to a small industry revolution. "A platform for new customers, a kind of digital blueprint. A system change with thousands of employee training sessions - we wanted to minimize this enormous effort," says Peter Altreiter. INFORMATICS Healthcare acquired more knowledge about the i.s.h.med Model System than others, resulting in the current introduction of the fever curve in Luxembourg, the largest and most challenging project in INFORMATICS Healthcare's history.
Optimizing processes with a smart toolbox. Innovative solutions such as the i.s.h.med Model System and intelligent digital assistants based on Oracle Cerner's AI platform can listen in on treatment conversations, document them and access patient data such as appointments and clinical measurements. These are all suitable tools for optimizing processes and improving patient care. The goal: more time for humanity and cutting-edge medicine! Oracle Cerner focuses on this process design and is therefore a leader in the industry.
Conclusion:
INFORMATICS Healthcare shows that passion, expertise and the will to change can achieve great things. Its employees are pioneers of the digital future in healthcare and inspire people to boldly challenge the status quo.
Speaking of Oracle Cerner: the global head of i.s.h.med is Stefan Radatz.
"The delicate beginning of a wonderful partnership."

"The annoying thing about anger is that you harm yourself without benefiting others." This quote from Kurt Tucholsky is a good way to describe the start of a wonderful partnership between Oracle Cerner and INFORMATICS.
When I took over responsibility for the Healthservice business in 2009, I came across a marketing brochure from INFORMATICS in which they presented themselves as the partner for SAP IS-H and as an implementation partner for i.s.h.med. We had never heard of INFORMATICS before. So how did they come to use i.s.h.med, our brand, for their purposes without consulting us? We had to find out, so we got to know each other. It quickly became clear that INFORMATICS' work, with its strong customer focus and knowledge of our product, offered great potential. Our interests were not only closely aligned from a technical and business point of view, we also had good chemistry from the outset. So instead of bending our elbows, we sealed the deal.
We quickly realized how valuable collaboration can be. And we were right. This partnership continues to this day - and we have managed many large and small projects together and developed together.
We are two companies that couldn't be more different. However, we have the most important thing in common: a beating heart for health IT and our customers.
Many thanks for many years of value-adding cooperation.
