Close the laptop, put on your ski boots! Two weeks ago, we at INFORMATICS traded in our keyboards and SAP screens for powder snow and mountain views. This year, our annual ski trip took us to Schladming in Styria—and it was legendary.
Anyone who works hard on complex SAP solutions has truly earned a break in the snow. For us, social events are more than just “mandatory gatherings”—they’re the glue that holds our team together. Whether you’re a consultant, a developer, or a back-office staff member: at the cabin, we’re all just colleagues having a good time together.
Perfect weather and pristine slopes on the Planai
We couldn’t have picked a better time. The 4-Mountain Ski Area welcomed us with perfect conditions. We made the most of the glorious weather and raced down the World Cup slopes together on skis and snowboards. From motivated beginners to pros, there was something for everyone as we hit the perfect slopes of the Planai.
Networking with a twist: The Refreshment Stop
Of course, no real day of skiing in Schladming would be complete without a stop for a bite to eat. At lunchtime, the whole team met up again at the lodge. Over Kaspressknödel and Kaiserschmarrn, there was no talk of interfaces or rollouts—just laughter and celebration.
It is precisely these moments that define the INFORMATICS team spirit. You get to know your teammates on a very personal level, far removed from meetings and deadlines. This not only strengthens our bonds, but also leads to even better collaboration in our day-to-day work.
Conclusion: Batteries fully recharged
After a long day in the fresh air and a relaxing evening of après-ski, we headed back to Leonding. Tired, but recharged and armed with plenty of new inside jokes.
